Directions :
Cong village has several carparks. Walk through the ruined Cong Abbey towards the woods and river channels. Having crossed, turn left or right and follow any of the well-marked tracks.

What to see :
Cong offers river, woodland and lake (Lough Corrib) habitats in close proximity to eachother. Look for Jay, Goldcrest, Treecreeper, Heron, Mute Swan, Divers, etc. Also look out for wild salmon in the river and Red Squirrel through the woods.
Ashford Castle has a falconry, so don’t be surprised to spot a Harris Hawk, or other exotics, in the trees above you.
